This policy explains what personal data Shop-Window Popcorn collects, why, and what you can do about it. The site and the product are run by Solvant, LLC, United States (“we”, “us”), who is the data controller. Contact: hello@theebookcircle.com.
We do not knowingly collect data from children. The product is for adults.
If you reply to our follow-up email with feedback, we will only share it publicly (first name and country only) if you clearly give us permission.
We use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram), to understand which ads lead to visits and purchases. It records events such as page views, starting checkout and completed purchases, and links them to your browser or your Meta account. Meta may use this data according to its own Data Policy. You can control ad personalisation in your Facebook ad preferences and block cookies in your browser settings.
We also use Microsoft Clarity, a tool from Microsoft Corporation, to understand how visitors use our pages (clicks, scrolling and session replays with form fields masked) so we can improve them. Clarity uses cookies and processes this data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. You can block it by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
Only with the service providers that help us run the shop, and only for that purpose:
We never sell your personal data. Some of these providers are in the United States. Where data leaves the UK or the EU, it is protected by the safeguards those providers use, such as standard contractual clauses or the UK–US data bridge.
Order and accounting records: as long as tax law requires (usually 6 years in the UK). Emails and feedback: up to 3 years after your last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Just email hello@theebookcircle.com. If you are in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). If you are a California resident, you have the right to know, delete and correct your personal information, and we do not sell or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising except through the Meta Pixel described above, which you can opt out of by blocking cookies or emailing us.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
